Following a Regatta Committee meeting on Sunday, 1st June, it was decided that the regatta will NOT be rescheduled to next Sunday (8th June).

The river is still flowing fast and next week looks equally unpredictable. It's also been a challenge to re-confirm race entries and organise sufficient umpires and marshalls.

This regretful decision was taken following a valiant effort by all concerned and we would like to thank umpires, St John Ambulance, Purse Communications, Elmbridge Canoe Club and not least WLARC club members who all re-committed their time and services.

Thanks also go to the clubs who managed to re-enter crews and to our generous sponsors.

All is not lost, however, since we have managed to freeze most of the cakes!

Thanks for your understanding and to all those who volunteered their services once again.
